My Story
MY STORY
Hello, my name is Lucy.
I’m a fully trained and accredited celebrant with the Academy of Professional Celebrants.
I’m married to Ian, we have a daughter, Tilly and live in West Wickham, Kent. Our home is also filled with furry friends, our cats Buster and Angus, and our rabbits Fluffy and Steven.
I absolutely love listening to all genres of music, especially Disco! When we have friends round with their kids I can guarantee the night will turn into a Kitchen Disco, which the kids love!
MY APPROACH
My approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply personal. I take the time to listen, to understand, and to craft ceremonies that truly capture the essence of the people they celebrate.

As your celebrant, I will guide you through life’s important moments with warmth, understanding, and a deep respect for your story.
RANGE OF SERVICES
I offer the following services crafted to your wishes: Funeral Ceremonies, Living Funerals Wedding Ceremonies, Naming Ceremonies and Vow Renewal Ceremonies
TRAINED & CERTIFIED
My training and accreditation by The Academy of Professional Celebrants means I am expertly trained and insured, and support equality and inclusion.
MY STORY
My journey into public speaking began during my time in publishing, where I regularly presented to colleagues and external businesses. In recent years I have spoken at friend’s funerals where I have written tributes about them, as well doing readings and a few ‘off the cuff’ speeches at friend’s weddings.
I have attended many Celebrant ceremonies; I love the personal touch it brings. We had a naming day for our daughter, Tilly. It meant the world to us to have our family and friends play a special part in our celebration. As well as Celebrant, Rupert taking the ceremony, one of Tilly’s “Odd Parents”, Vicki (our affectionate little twist!) created and read a beautiful, personalised poem, and our dear friend Damien shared the story of how Ian and I met, our journey together, and the IVF adventure that brought Tilly into our lives.
I genuinely love meeting people and hearing their stories. Each month I do voluntary work for a charity called Re-Engage. This involves taking the guests to tea parties where we eat, chat and laugh together, it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon with the older community.
My approach
I care deeply about others and promise to bring both warmth and professionalism to every ceremony I create. With a cheeky sense of humour, I aim to bring fun and joy to weddings, while my compassionate nature ensures that farewell ceremonies are always conducted with the utmost respect and dignity.
My job, as your celebrant, is to create a bespoke and unforgettable ceremony, be it a wedding, funeral, naming ceremony or even renewing your vows.
I’d love to collaborate with you on creating a memorable ceremony for you or your loved ones.
