FUNERAL CEREMONIES
Honouring life’s final chapter
Funeral Ceremonies
Over the years I’ve attended many celebrant-led funerals, and I’ve come to see just how important it is to tell someone’s story. I truly believe that every life has a story worth sharing, no matter how big or small.
If you choose me as your celebrant, I’ll create a carefully written service that reflects your loved one’s life, personality, and the stories you wish to celebrate. Every funeral I write is bespoke. I can guide you through the different elements of the service, offering suggestions for poems, readings, and music if you’d like, or we can involve family and friends to make the day even more personal. It’s entirely up to you.
The Process
Usually, your Funeral Director will pass your details to me, and then I’ll be in touch to arrange a meeting. This might take place in the comfort of your home, at the funeral director’s, in a quiet coffee shop, or even online via Zoom. Most families find face-to-face conversations feel more natural as I do too, but I’ll always leave the choice with you.
As a trained celebrant, I understand how difficult it can be to think clearly after losing someone you love. You may not know what kind of service feels right at first, and that’s completely OK. Some families prefer a joyful celebration of life, while others want a quieter, more reflective gathering. Whatever you choose, I’ll support and guide you through the process, so together we can create a service that feels true to your loved one and comforting for those who gather to remember them.
